This time, we allowed all the 127,127 people living in Berkeley to be jurors by picking up various signals they created, including reviews, online & offline sentiment metrics, citations, Google search result rankings, links between websites, brand mentions, social media activity, and more.

Essentially, this competition focuses on the passion for packing, loading, transporting, and arranging people's belongings. We discovered and reviewed all 163 moving companies in Berkeley, then shortlisted 5 (full-service/labor-only/self-service movers, local/long-distance/international moving companies, van lines, etc.). Finally, we ranked them based on their complaint history, customer satisfaction ratings, licensing & insurance coverage, potential hidden fees, and punctuality.
